Sheikh Hamdan Attends the Dubai Police Academy Graduation Ceremony Of 477 Police Cadets & University Students

The Dubai Police Academy held its graduation ceremony yesterday, with 477 police cadets and university students receiving their diplomas. The ceremony was graced by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, attended the ceremony to extend his congratulations to the graduates and provide support as they embark on their new roles as police officers.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, and Staff Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Force.

During the ceremony, Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Butti Al Shamsi, Director of the Dubai Police Academy, addressed the audience and expressed his joy and pride in the occasion. He congratulated the new cadet officers and wished them the best of luck in their future careers serving their country.

Brigadier Al Shamsi emphasized the academy’s critical role in training highly qualified law enforcement personnel with scientific knowledge and skills, who are equipped to protect their nation and ensure its safety.

During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed a military parade and performances by 958 former graduates. Sheikh Hamdan also met with two female police officers, Shamma Al-Buflasa and Lt. Dana Al-Souri, during the event. The officers talked about their experiences completing an officer training program at the New York Police Academy, where they became the first people from outside the United States to pass the course.

Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri congratulated the graduates and wished them success in serving the nation under the leadership of the UAE. He stresses the importance of investing in human capital in order to drive long-term development and achieve the country’s goals. Lt. Gen. Al Marri highlighted the importance of the Dubai Police in empowering women and youth and providing the country with highly qualified professionals to support sustainable development efforts during his speech.

The graduation ceremony honored 477 male and female students who specialized in various fields of security and law. This included 57 cadets from the Bachelor of Law and Police Sciences program’s 30th batch, 38 cadets from the 2nd batch of undergraduate students in Security and Criminal Sciences, and 21 female cadets from the 3rd batch of the same program. The event also honored the achievements of 98 undergraduate students and 263 male and female foundation course students.
