We’re going to take a wild guess and say that those kicks you’re wearing are rather worn. All dusty, torn and, beyond anything a “good wash” could fix. Shame.

Well, friend, it’s time to replace those soles and, we’ve got just the place.

Adidas is opening its latest store in The Dubai Mall at 7am tomorrow and, get this, it’s going to be the biggest in the Middle East.

Aside from a massive sneaker collection that will include Pharrell Williams’ latest offering SOLARHU, the 5,000 sq ft store will feature a designated art space that will boast snaps and art work from some of the region’s biggest artists. Among them include Dubai-based photographer Connor Rycroft, whose gallery will depict local culture through the perspective of his lens. Sounds ace.

Before we leave you to plan your trip, here’s a bit more on Williams’ SOLARHU collection.

It was inspired by East Africa’s running culture, which is why they are available in bright colours like lemon yellow, cherry red and pink – not just any pink, the one found on the sleeves of Starburst wrappers. It is also why words like Swahili words like Miele (forever) and Mbele (forward) feature on the upper. The words have been printed using a font inspired by the bibs that professional runners wear.

The East African inspiration can be seen in the shoe’s details. According to the collection’s press release, the collar alternates colours much like a beaded bracelet, and the upper is made of a tweaked Primeknit material that’s “reimagined to evoke a naïve, handmade sensibility.

The collection features two styles, the NMD which retails at AED1,200 and the Tennis Hu which is priced at AED600.

Right then, happy shopping.
