Mr Porter and Off-White launch modern officewear
Since elbowing its way onto the fashion scene in 2011, Mr Porter has become the go-to site for effortlessly stylish male attire.
Likewise, Off-White has been turning heads since 2013 by bringing a global touch to classic Italian style. So when the two fashion forces unite for a capsule collection, you know you’re in for a real treat. The Modern Office line consists of 44 pieces that merge work and play. On the collaboration, Mr Porter’s buyer George Archer said: “It’s the largest capsule we’ve produced with a retailer to date. It’s been designed from the ground up with the introduction of new fabrics, silhouettes, colour palettes, and exclusive prints that are not seen in the seasonal lines from Off-White.
“It was extremely important to us that the collection included all product categories such as tailoring, outerwear, shirting and also strong printed jersey, which it is known and loved for.” Expert clean cuts, muted block colours and modern tailoring.
Archer’s favourite items? “The silk camp-collar all-over logo shirt and the embroidered linen jacket, which hasn’t been done by Off-White before. The prints are the stand-out elements of this collection, the ‘Class of 2013’ print refers to Virgil’s debut Off-White collection while the number 23 is a reflection of the number used in his 2012 Pyrex Vision collection of tees, hoodies, basketball shorts... Which is a nice reference to showcase how far Virgil [Abloh, Off-White’s creative director] has come in such a short space of time.” Suits us.
