Ubisoft’s next Watch Dogs game is set in “post-Brexit world”

If you've been pondering on what video game company Ubisoft has been developing over the past few years, you won't have to wait for the big reveal at E3 2019 any longer.

A page on Amazon has revealed the company’s next game is Watch Dogs Legion, and it's looking like pre-order material.
The online retailer’s UK page has now been taken down, but that didn’t stop everyone from seeing all the plot details and a very intriguing game-changing mechanic.

The Amazon listing stated the next title is set in "a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London's fortunes". We wonder how realistic that will be…

"Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated and guided by gameplay systems". Basically, that means gamers can "play as anyone” thanks to “AI trickery”.

We’re not sure how playing as anyone will work, but with the title of the third-entry named Legion, we believe players will be able to jump in the shoes on anyone that’s part of a hacking group. Think a large group seen in Amazon’s hit show Mr. Robot.

Heading the game is Clint Hocking, the creative director of wildly successful Far Cry 2, which lay the foundation for the extremely popular Far Cry games. The hype is real, people.

Ubisoft was supposedly meant to officially showcase Watch Dogs Legion at E3 2019, taking place on Tuesday June 11.

Either way, we’re excited with how it will all look when the trailer comes out, even if the franchise doesn’t exactly have the best track record thanks to the first Watch Dogs’ underwhelming release.

While we wait for the trailer, you could just watch (or re-watch for the hundredth time) Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding trailer. It’s amazing, but we wonder how a trailer could show off more info about a mysterious game and make us even more confused…
