There’s an “E-Karting” track coming soon to Dubai

What can’t be done in a mall in Dubai? There’s a huge aquarium at The Dubai Mall, a ski slope at Mall of the Emirates, and soon you’ll be able to speed around in one.

Upcoming mega mall project Meydan One has revealed that it will boast an indoor go-karting track, but worry not shoppers of Dubai, the track is set to be noise-free.

The region’s first indoor electric go-karting track is set to be 4,000sq m, with the electric track spanning across two floors.

Along with the vehicles being noise-free, the go-karts also generate less heat than petrol karts, so there’s no need to get suited up in protective racing suits. Just drive in what you have on.

The track will be set in the mall’s dedicated entertainment complex, with Meydan One – set to be bigger than The Dubai Mall – due to open in 2020.

That’s only one of the features the megaplex has to offer, as it will also have a massive sports centre and facility spanning nearly a quarter of a million square foot, featuring full-sized football pitches, basketball courts, cricket fields, boxing rings, baseball batting cages and even a driving range to practise your golf swing.

Basically, if you’re sporty, this is the mall for you.

Half of the mall will be dedicated to restaurants and entertainment, with over 100 food and beverage outlets to dine at, along with a 21-screen cinema complex to watch the latest blockbusters.

Speaking of speedy vehicles, check out the 11 top Ramadan car deals this year, including UAE car offers of up to AED55,000 off.

As for those who are keener on vehicles with two wheels, you’ll want to head over to Dubai’s Motorcycle Mall which features a showroom, the workshop and the café.

Shopping and go-karting? Don’t mind if we do.
