UAE capital Abu Dhabi is all set to host the 10th Abu Dhabi Air Expo from November 1 to 3. This long-awaited biannual event comes after a four years break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

More than 18000 thousand delegates from around the world are expected to join this grand event. It is expected that there will be huge participation from general aviation, airlines, airports, civil aviation, aviation technology and so much more.

Abu Dhabi Airports, which operates five airports in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is the official host for the Air Expo 2022. The expo is reported to cover an area of 80,000 square meters.

200 top companies, manufacturers, and suppliers are participating in the expo including Dassault, Gulfstream, Sanad, Cirrus, Royal Jet, Abu Dhabi Aviation, Abu Dhabi Holding, Falcon Aviation Services, Aero, and Global Air Navigation Services. More than 100 aircraft, from ultralight to heavy business jets, are expected to be displayed at the event.

This year’s event will involve a new format that divides the exhibition into three areas: aircraft hangar, chalets, and outdoor static display.

The Aviation Think Tank Forum is sponsored by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. Major announcements, conferences, a newly introduced Aviation Think Tank forum, and networking meetings are expected at the expo.

According to the organizers, the three-day event will feature the latest innovations in private jet aircraft, helicopters, executive charter services, airport equipment and services, avionics systems, insurance, and financing.

The Aviation Think Tank has brought together more than 80 speakers who will discuss topics including green aviation, the growth, and future of air cargo, the role of women in aviation sustainability, air traffic management, the future of aircraft maintenance, AI and robotics, retail services at airports, urban mobility, electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft and post-pandemic future of the industry.

There will be flying displays to entertain those who gathered at the event. The Al Fursan Team of the UAE Air Force will conduct aerobatics. There will be flyovers by commercial jets at the event.

Sheik Mohammed Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports said that hosting the Abu Dhabi Air Expo reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to enabling the growth and development of the aviation and aerospace sectors, which continue to play an important role in the socioeconomic development of Abu Dhabi by facilitating connectivity, trade, logistics, and tourism.

Jamal Al Dhaheri, managing director and chief executive of Abu Dhabi Airports said that they were looking forward to welcoming the aviation community to the Abu Dhabi Air Expo and were keen on promoting growth, through strategic partnerships in Abu Dhabi’s economy.

He added that with the support of their generous leadership, there will be a strengthening of the position of Abu Dhabi as an international hub for aviation, tourism, and commerce. Didier Mary, general manager of Abu Dhabi Air Expo, said that there is a high demand from across the sector and are anticipating record numbers.

The Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2022 brings together industry leaders and seasoned professionals to network, exchange ideas, and showcase the latest technology and equipment in general aviation.

This expo has grown into one of the leading aviation events, and it will reinforce the emirate’s position on the global aviation and aerospace map.

The Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association Show, which is also one of the leading events of its kind, will also be held in Dubai this year from December 6 to 8 at Dubai World Central Airport.
