Innovation Talk Start on February 6 To Bring Together Dubai’s Government And Private Sectors

The eighth edition of the UAE Innovates 2023 series will be held on 6th February and as part of the program, the Executive Council of Dubai is organizing the Innovative Talk series. This will be attended by the major representatives and executives of the government departments of Dubai and also by the experts from the main private sector companies. The Innovation talk series will focus on bringing out new ideas regarding the mutual cooperation of government and private sectors in developing a common vision for the future of Dubai. 

Dubai’s private sector companies have been largely successful in boosting the economy even during the post-Covid times. So this series of talks would be an encouraging pointer in developing new roadmaps together with the government departments of Dubai to realize the vision of the wise leadership of the Emirates. The world is in desperate need of innovation and Dubai is one of the pioneering cities that has always emulated itself as a global hub for new and exciting projects.

Sharina Lootah, the Coordinator of UAE Innovates 2023, Dubai, thanked the efforts of the government department for organizing multiple programs at the event that communicates the different stories of success achieved by Dubai through the years.

Lootah also said that the Dubai Government continuously strives for fostering a culture of innovation in the social and workplace environments. All these efforts would be put into the limelight as the three-day event would focus on highlighting these achievements and success stories of the Dubai administration. 

Maha Al Suwaidi, Senior Consultant, Dubai Government Excellence Program, observed that the UAE Innovates 2023 has been putting the core value of innovation as an effective tool for promoting government policies and also makes it crucial criteria for measuring the performance of government departments.

The success of the Innovation talk series also shows how various private institutions are also eager to participate in the development journey of Dubai through developing new methods. Their participation is a huge encouragement for the economic roadmap of Dubai as true development is only possible through sharing and exchanging pathbreaking solutions.

The Dubai administration has always been at the forefront of creating global standards when it comes to the areas of administrative excellence and maintaining innovation as a major criteria for the nation’s economic stability. 

The international partnerships and multi-level economic investments in the Dubai economy make it a fertile ground for new projects that aim at pushing the frontiers of tech, sustainability, and other service sector-based companies. The inclusion of International best practices is another positive step taken by the administration to ensure that the economic pace of Dubai is aligned with International standards. 

Day One

The first day of the Innovation Talk series will start with an opening speech by His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai. It will be followed by a knowledge seminar delivered by Her Excellency Mona Ghanim Al-Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office.

The seminar will also be co-lead by His Excellency Malek Al Malek, Director General of the Dubai Development Authority and Member of Dubai Media Council. The session will focus on the need for innovation and diversification of the economy in the Media sector. There will also be seminars on Space Science and Innovation which will be headed by Eng. Mohammed Al Harmi, who is a leading engineer from the Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Center, and also another seminar on Amazon’s Innovation culture. The Keynote speech will be delivered by His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation and he will provide a glimpse into the UAE’s future.

The second day will have major programs like a keynote speech by His Excellency Sultan bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, as he will speak on the sustainable journey of Dubai in shipping and international logistics.

There will also be a knowledge seminar on ‘Open AI’ and Microsoft followed by a panel discussion on the topic of Innovations in Social Media which will be hosted by SocialEyes and Ferjan Dubai. The day’s programs will conclude with a session by SIA partners on the topic ‘Innovation for Organizational Agility’. 

The third and final day of the event will start with a keynote speech by His Excellency Younus Al Nasser, Assistant Director General, Dubai Digital, and CEO of Dubai Data Establishment. He will speak on the importance of data in innovation and creating the future.

After this, knowledge seminars will be held on topics of ‘Sustainability Innovation’ and ‘Power of Data for Effective Decision Making’ led by DEWA and Visa respectively. The event will conclude after a panel discussion on ‘Social Innovation Towards Sustainability’ that will feature Goumbook and Nadeera.
