Tomouh! A New Initiative By United Arab Bank To Help Emirati Graduates

The United Arab Bank (UAB) has launched the ‘Tomouh’ program targeted at Emirati graduates and also to support and upgrade national talents. The program will offer wide opportunities to talented and skilled Emirati graduates belonging to the banking sector.

This is in line with the general philosophy of the UAB in empowering Emirati talents and providing them with ample skills and professional experience.

The Sharjah-based lender launched The Tomouh program was launched at Expo center Sharjah by UAB during their participation in the 24th National Career Fair,  held recently under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and also the member of the Supreme Council. Mr. Shirish Bhide, Chief executive officer at United Arab Bank complimented the initiative and said that the United Arab Emirates leadership has taken an intelligible vision for Human Resource Development and also offered equal training opportunities to male and female citizens of UAE.

He also stated that UAB is taking significant measures to expand strategic policies and mechanisms that would ultimately lead to the recruitment of exceptional national talents thus enhancing their skills in an organized way.

Mr.Shirish was hopeful that the launch of Tomouh program would help in promoting innovation and a creative outlook in the banking industry and it also symbolizes the commitment of the United Arab Bank to supporting Emirati talents.

Tomouh initiative basically aims at developing competitive skills and creating crucial human resource packages for Emirati graduates.  This will help them in honing their professional skills and talent by applying creative and innovative strategies in the banking and financial sector.

The training and development plan is created as a one-year course and covers a range of topics from technical banking skills to leadership development. The training is aided by the latest learning methods such as workshops, and external training programs, and the active involvement of digital platforms.

Hind Al Attar, Chief human capital officer at UAB reinstated the bank’s constant efforts to support the growth of Emirati graduates and said that they will increase Emirati presence in the bank.

For this purpose, various initiatives and programs aligned with the current government policies will be implemented to empower young graduates in leading a happy and financially prosperous life in the UAE.

Any UAE graduate with a valid UAE passport with a family book, who is fluent in English and Arabic can apply for the Tomouh program. The course allows graduate trainees to learn from leaders in the financial industry within various business areas in the bank, such as Consumer Banking, Private Banking, or Wholesale Banking.

Post-training, the trainees will be appointed in the banking sector. Once joined, they will have responsibilities like analyzing existing systems and offering new ideas, researching methods to increase profits and reduce risks, compiling reports and making presentations to staff members, etc. 

The ultimate goal of this training program is to discover, evaluate, develop and extend opportunities to graduate UAE Nationals who demonstrate formidable talent throughout the Emiratization programs created by the United Arab Bank.

This endeavor will be a performance booster for the United Arab Bank in accessing a wide pool of future leaders from the UAE region and which will be further developed through the expansive training and development programs organized by the UAB.
