Emirates unveils new Boeing 777 First Class cabins

We’ve long talked about how much we love Emirates’ First Class cabins – there’s a fully functional bar, spacious seats that fully recline and more, much more. And, while we thought it was impossible to up the ante, the award-winning airline has done just that.

Earlier today, the Dubai-based airline unveiled its brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class-inspired interiors that will grace the First Class suites of its Boeing 777 aircraft – we know, fancy.

If you’re unaware of what the suites entail, allow us to enlighten you…

  • The suites are 84 inches long.
  • They feature sliding doors that reach up to 6 feet and 9 inches.
  • They have floor to ceiling windows.
  • They feature a 32-inch high-definition screen.
  • The cabins are also equipped with “virtual windows” that can project the view from outside in real-time.

Speaking on the news, Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said: “I’ve personally always been a fan of automative and the way they have managed to use space in a manner that simply continues to excel and excite the consumers.

“Some of the design cues we took were on the seat, on the lighting and on the leather.”

Emirates also announced that it is working to improve its Business and Economy Class offering on the new 777 aircraft.

Much like its First Class offering, the Business Class seats interiors will also be inspired by a modern sports car while the economy class seats will have full leather headrests and flexible side panels that can be adjusted vertically.
