6 things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend

Kick off the weekend relaxing with a movie by the beach, with a tipple in a choice of happy hours or dancing the night away to progressive house beats with Dannic. And as if that’s not enough already to keep you going, how about getting a bit arty, taking in some culture at the Qasr Al Hosn festival or even joining a distinctly different ‘collective site specific performance’?

Beach Movie Night: Skyfall
For those looking to wind down from the week and start the weekend slowly, kick back and relax on the beach in comfort with James Bond. Everything you need is catered for with plenty of parking, blankets to keep you warm, popcorn, ice cream and a large menu to choose from. Best of all, entry is free.

Dannic at Mad on Yas Island

Art Central Art Workshops Open Day

Qasr Al Hosn Festival

Remote Abu Dhabi
For something completely different, register to join ‘Remote Abu Dhabi’, a unique experience in ‘collective site specific performance’. With up to 50 people in the group, each person will receive a set of headphones using a computer-generated voice to guide the group through Downtown Abu Dhabi to bring both familiar and the unfamiliar sites of the city to life. Registration is a must.
When: 4.45pm-7pm, Saturday, February 6
Where: Starting point, Abu Dhabi Corniche: the group will gather at Corniche Road West in the parking area located in front of The Landmark building (otherwise known as the Titanic tower).
