Champions League Final
Real Madrid are aiming to become the first side to ever retain the Champions League in its current format – and add to the record 10 titles they have already secured as the competition’s most successful club. When they head to Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, it will also represent a chance for Cristiano Ronaldo to complete an incredible 12 months, in which he has collected a Champions League winners’ medal against cross-town rivals Atletico, led Portugal to European Championship glory in France, won the Ballon D’Or and then finally won a second La Liga. Not bad for someone whose career was meant to be in decline. Of course, opponents Juventus will hardly make it easy. After six straight Scudettos in Italy, they’ll be hoping to add to their two wins in this competition – and their first for 21 years. As always, there’ll be a number of places to watch it in the UAE with some even offering like great food and beverage offers to mark the occasion – Burger & Lobster is offering guests 2-for-1 happy ‘hour’ from 6pm to 1.30am.
When: Match starts at 10.45pm, Burger & Lobster 2-for-1 happy hour from 6pm to 1.30am, Saturday, June 3

Highlights include hazelnut falafel, chicken and date fatayer with saffron labneh, and slow-cooked spiced lamb with nut rice. Make sure you try chef Greg Malouf’s signature knife and fork ice cream.

Wonder Woman (15)
It’s a film that has certainly been a long time coming. Both in its conception – a Wonder Woman project was chewed over as far back as 1996 – and in its delivery of a female lead in a superhero film, the Penny Jenkins reboot of the day-saving she-warrior carries a lot of expectation on its shoulders. The fact that the result delivers every comic book-turned-movie convention, revisits tropes dusted down from Superman and Captain America, and concludes in set-shredding, CGI-fuelled carnage ensures it has ticked the necessary boxes, but there is room for a surprise or two as Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) makes her full introduction into the DC cinematic universe.
