R&B Mondays at Sensation
If early-week partying is your thing, don your bling kicks and head to R&B Mondays at Sensation club. DJs Scottie B, Badir, Ahoni and MC Money Plus are leading the entertainment, and there are also deals on drinks to keep yourselves occupied with.

Madame Butterfly @ China Grill
It’s carved a popular name for itself in Dubai, and girls go free on drinks all night at Madame Butterfly, including bubbles. If you decide to eat (and with a drink offer like that, you probably should), groups of ladies also get 50 percent off food – and there’s 25 percent off food for mixed groups. The venue also hosts regular pop-up shops on ladies night and live DJs.

Grandmaster Flash live at Cavalli

Alison Hinds live at N’Dulge
Known as the ‘Queen of Soca’ by her fans, Alison Hinds is set to perform live in Dubai on September 8 at N’Dulge nightclub in Atlantis, The Palm. Hinds is famed for her powerful vocals and high-energy live shows. Her first album, Soca Queen, is a selection of soca tunes, with the well-loved “Roll It Gal” being a highlight. The popular song was a hit in 2005 and is still regularly played at urban club nights.

Yoga and sound therapy class
If you’re staying in town over Eid and looking for something to help blow the cobwebs away, it’s worth considering the yoga and sound therapy class that’s being held this Saturday at Zen Yoga. The class will consist of a 60-minute vinyasa class, followed by 45 minutes of deeply relaxing yin yoga. To round off, you will get to enjoy 45 minutes of sound healing with Tibetan bowls. Cinema – Morgan (18)
There are strong echoes of both Silence of the Lambs and Ex Machina about Morgan, a 20th Century Fox film produced by Ridley Scott and directed by his son, Luke. Kate Mara plays a risk-management consultant investigating a young woman whose conception was lab-engineered and, as a result, has violent tendencies that have resulted in her being confined to a concrete room. Mara, aided by the excellent Toby Jones and Paul Giametti, must determine whether the experiment should end now.
