If you're the sort of person who likes to pack foour different outfits for each day of your holiday, and prepare for every weather eventuality, you probably struggle to keep to Emirates’ Economy Class baggage allowance. Well, you’re going to love this.

The Dubai-based airline has announced that it will be giving passengers up to 15kg extra on their current 30kg baggage allowance.

Unfortunately, there’s a catch. The offer is only on from September 30 to December 13 of this year and, is only valid for certain flight destinations…

Passengers travelling to Abidjan, Accra, Dakar, Entebbe, Harare, Luanda, Lagos, Lusaka, Manila, Cairo, Casablanca, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Algiers Guangzhou and Dar Es Salaam will be given 15 extra kilos, making their new baggage allowance 45kgs – that’s plenty of space for your four pairs of trainers, six swim suits, hair dryer, hair straightener, 24 T-shirts and eight pairs of jeans. We're not here to judge.

Passengers flying economy class to Karachi, Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jakarta, Cebu, Clark and Colombo will be granted an extra 10kgs on select flights. While Economy Class passengers travelling to Amman, Islamabad, Kabul, Khartoum, Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Tunisia and Peshawar will receive an additional 10kgs on all Emirates’ flights to said destinations.

Now that you know where you can take you entire wardrobe (or, at least half of it), here’s our pick of the three must-see destinations on the list…

The edge has just been taken off the summer in Jordan, so the temperature is mild enough to enjoy the famous archaeological site. While you’re there, make some time to head to the Dead Sea which offers the requisite blend of landscape, luminosity and luxury for which Jordan has become famed. While the entire space is an archaeological site, be sure to see the Garden Temple, Palace Tomb and the Ad Deir monastery.

Take a boat trip to Elephanta Island from the Gateway’s wharf and wander around the ancient archaeological remains and Indian rock art that make up the islands famous “city of caves”.
