Octopath Traveler 2: Is The Release Date Announced?

Nintendo and Square Enix have announced Octopath Traveler 2, the sequel to the highly regarded role-playing game that introduced the world to the lush, retro HD-2D visual style.

The popular Nintendo Switch title first launched in July 2018 and has since garnered critical acclaim for its addictive gameplay and strong narrative elements.

There are eight characters in Octopath Traveler 02 who have unique personalities, job titles, and goals. For example, Agnea is a dancer who wants to become a star and other characters like Partitio want to end poverty.

Plot

Scene 01: Tressa met Noa

She meets a disabled girl named Noah who wishes she could see the world but cannot because of her restrictions. A contest is being organized by Noa’s father to see who can present the best treasure to Noa. Tressa enters her notebook in the contest and wins, realizing that it is her greatest treasure, and may also be Noah’s most precious treasure.

Scene 02: Therion entry 

Therian, is a classic “Bad Boy” character. He’s been burned in the past, so he’s very cynical and doesn’t trust anyone, but one could say he still cares deeply. He is confident in his ability to steal and is known as one of the best thieves.

Scene 03: Tressa saves Ali

Teresa travels where the notebook is left. Here, he meets another businessman named Ali who turns out to be his rival. However, a man who monopolizes the city’s gold business confronts them and kidnaps Ali. Teresa defeats this man and saves Ali before moving to a new city.

By now, we know for sure that Octopath Traveler 02 will hit shelves for PlayStation 04, PlayStation 05, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

There’s no word yet on whether the game will release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but that could always change.
