Reviewed: Havana Social Club

Buenas noches, fans of all things Cuba. Your new evening lounge, in which you can drink beautifully crafted concoctions, has arrived in Dubai.

With clear inspiration from the Havana Cabaret Clubs, it’s surprising how its corner of Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai manages to pull off those 1920s vibes – despite there being Roman sculptures spaced throughout the hotel. With authentically faded wall paint and an array of colourful doors, it really does nail that Cuban feel.

Embracing the smoky cabaret club element, its rounded indoor bar area and outside terrace are the venue’s highlights. Indoors, we’re able to watch our mixed drinks being made in style, all while smooth and jazzy tunes play overhead. Speaking of which, there’s a countless amount of options when it comes to drinks, and even though they may be pricey, taste-wise they are worth every dirham. The lounge’s sizeable outdoor terrace is stunning at night, with lit-up views of the hotel’s pool and external surroundings. This is the place to try those Cuban rolls, and pretend you’re in a scene from Scarface.
