7 things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend

Events are like buses this weekend – they’ve all come at once with the show stopping high fliers in Cirque Le Noir hitting the capital, the Zayed marathon, a 24 hour St Patrick’s Day celebration at Le Royal Meridien and a somewhat more serene event for Earth Hour with yoga in the dark at the Park Rotana. But that’s not all, Ladies nights at Yas Waterworld kick off again this Thursday, join the Carnival De Rio at Chamas and everyone’s favourite flea market at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi is also back.

Ladies Night at Yas Waterworld
For a Ladies Night with a difference, head to Yas Waterworld and get amongst the action with Zumba classes, henna painting and a dance zone in addition to all of the usual rides and slides available at the park.

Carnival De Rio
Get the party started and jump into the weekend with a Brazilian Carnival in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Featuring a Latino band and Samba dancers, the Carnival De Rio at

Candlelight yoga for Earth Hour

Cirque Le Noir
The sold out world tour is here in Abu Dhabi for the first time this weekend. Cirque Le Noir promises to be a jaw-dropping spectacle made up of breath-taking acts, acrobatic stunts, aerial artistry and much more. The show also brings with it ‘The Colombian Wheel of Death’, the high risk and dramatic performance renowned in the business as one of the most complex circus stunts in the world.

St. Patrick’s Day 24 hour party

Zayed Marathon
This annual race with both 10k and 5k options raises money for Kidney Research – all registration fees go directly to the fund. Donations can also be made online without participating.
