Gucci introduces virtual try-on app
Iconic fashion brand Gucci has teamed up with Belarus tech start-up Wannaby to create an app that allows you to virtually ‘try on’ shoes.
Tired of department stores and changing rooms? Sample Gucci’s new Ace trainer collection simply by pointing your phone at your feet. Currently only available on iOS, the app utilises augmented reality (or ‘AR’) technology that imposes a virtual image of the shoes onto your feet and simultaneously tracks your movements, making it seem as if you’re walking around in brand new Gucci kicks.
