1. Dubai World Cup

History and Significance of the Dubai World Cup: The Dubai World Cup was being held regularly since 1996. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, established the Dubai World Cup, a thoroughbred horse racing. The first event was held at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse until 2009 then shifted to Meydan Racecourse the next year. When Thunder Snow, a horse owned by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed, won the Dubai World Cup for a second time in 2019, it made history. 

Schedule of events and activities: The schedule of the Dubai World Cup includes the World Cup Carnival which runs annually for three months. This year the carnival started in January including 9 race meetings and will end in March. The first 7 race meetings are held prior to the carnival’s thunderous crescendo on Super Saturday, which is followed by the grand finale of the Dubai World Cup.

Ticket Information: For exploring the Dubai Food Festival, there are different types of tickets. The tickets can be booked from the official website or on the spot.

The standard ticket is AED 75 for a single day.

The taster ticket for single-day entry is AED 165 which includes two food and drinks vouchers with it.

The price for a VIP ticket is AED 250 for a single day including three food and drinks vouchers with it and VIP lounge access.

The ultimate weekend package i.e., for the whole festival is priced at AED 650 including ten food and drink vouchers and VIP lounge access for one person.

Children below 12 years can go for free.

4. Art Dubai

The premier international art fair in the Middle East, Art Dubai is a high point of the cultural calendar for the area. Schedule of events and activities: The Art Dubai event is a 5-day event in which starting two days (i.e., March 1 and 2) no outsider is allowed, only people with an invitation will be permitted between 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. On March 3 and 4, the event will start at 2 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. On the last day of the event i.e., the 5^th of March from 12 noon to 6 p.m. The after-parties take place from the 2nd to the 4th of March from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Ticket Information: Tickets for the 1^st and 2^nd March are not available i.e., Global Art Forum, the people who have been invited through cards are allowed. The tickets can be bought online or through Art Dubai app.

Children below 18 years and university students are allowed free of cost with valid ID proof. One day ticket is priced at AED 90 and the package of 3 days i.e., from March 3 to 5 is AED 150. There is no entry fee for after-parties for people above 21 years.

5. Dubai International Boat Show

One of the region’s most unmissable marine events is known as the Dubai International Boat Show being held for over two decades. At this event, a lot of exhibitors, boats, captains, and business individuals take place for showcasing their crafts and superyachts from all around the globe, which can be bought, sold, or seen by boating enthusiasts.

On the 4^th of March, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., a Captain’s Night will happen. On the 3^rd and 4^th of March, dive talks will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Ticket Information: Tickets for the Dubai International Boat Show are available online or at the show itself. Rates for adults and children begin at AED 40 and AED 30 for one day pass, respectively. Children under the age of 12 can enter for free, though.

AED 100 is charged for a week pass of 5 days. These all include access to the full venue of the Dubai Boat Show and water-sports paradise along with the kids’ arena. Trade Visitors, Boat Owners, Captains, and Divers with certain proof can enter free of cost after registration and approvals.
