The theme of this year’s Emirati Children’s Day is “The Child’s Rights in a Safe and Sustainable Environment,” in keeping with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability.

The theme emphasizes the significance of providing children with a safe and sustainable environment in which to grow and develop, including access to clean water, clean air, and a healthy ecosystem.

As per Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE has become a leading global example in child protection and support because of the variety of services and legislation in place to foster responsible generations capable of leading the country’s development.

She continued by stating that the UAE’s remarkable achievements in childcare and protection are a direct result of the UAE leadership’s strong commitment to and investment in human capital, which includes President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as Members of the Federal Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.

This investment ensures that all necessary resources are available to promote the country’s development and prosperity by cultivating a selfless generation.

On March 15, in commemoration of Emirati Children’s Day, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum recognized the significance of the occasion as a national platform to raise awareness about children’s rights and highlight the UAE’s achievements in this field.

Emirati Children’s Day also reflects the country’s commitment to upholding international child-protection laws and regulations.

Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum praised Her Highness’ contributions during her remarks. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation.

Sheikha Hind acknowledged HH Sheikha Fatima, the Mother of the Nation, for her instrumental contribution to supporting motherhood and childhood in the UAE. She also praised her for initiating various programs that create a nurturing environment for children, leading to their optimal growth and development.

Her Highness’ remarks on Emirati Children’s Day serve as a reminder of the UAE’s commitment to protecting children’s rights and ensuring a bright future for the next generation. The event emphasises the significance of continuing efforts to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children can thrive and reach their full potential.
